Over the past year, our gardens have become a major activity in our lives as we spend more time at home due to the pandemic. If you're looking to light up indoors or out, bringing color and life to any space, these glow-in-the-dark planters are your best bet.You can make your own luminous flowerpots by reading the following.
Prepare materials:
an old flowerpot, outdoor paint, hair Dryer, glow-in-the-dark paint, brush, clingfilm, and newspaper.
When buying glow paint, be sure to look for a phosphorescent paint rather than fluorescent. Fluorescent paint only glows under black light, while phosphorescent paint is charged by light.
1.Work in a well-ventilated area and wipe the pot with a clean rag to remove dirt and dust. If your pot is not solid white, paint the pot with a small brush and outdoor paint. The best base colors for glow-in-the-dark are white, blue, or yellow.
2.After coloring, use a hair dryer to dry the flower pot for about 20 minutes. When the pot is dry, cover the drainage holes with waste paper.
3.To the critical step! Invert the pan over the plastic wrap and pour the glow paint over its bottom and edges. The paint will run off the sides, creating a splash effect.
4.Don't worry if paint accumulates on the bottom. Tilt the pot gently and apply the paint to the sides with a small brush, applying 2-3 coats every few minutes so it forms an even layer.
5.Use a hair dryer for another 20 minutes. Add a plant and your glow-in-the-dark pot is ready.
When the light is on, the pot will glow. It can be charged in a bright place, such as outside in direct sunlight or next to a lamp. After charging, the glow will be even more noticeable.
